  7. GRANT APPLICATIONS
    1. Belper Town Football Club U15's - 159
        A grant of £500 was approved towards the cost of the end of season tour to Barcelona.
    2. Belper Town Criers Calling Competition - 160
        A grant of £100 was approved towards the cost of the competition.
    3. Belper Meadows Bowls Club - 161
        A grant of £500 was approved towards the cost of bowls to encourage younger people into the sport.
    4. St Peter's Church - 162
        The application for a grant of £250 towards the Baroque Concert during the Festival to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the church was approved in principle. However, as the Concert would not take place until June 2003, it was considered more appropriate to defer the application so that it would come into next year's budget.
    5. St John Ambulance - 163
        A grant of £260 was approved for a new cadet flag.
    6. Amber Valley Victim Support Scheme - 164
        A grant of £250 was approved as a contribution towards the running costs of the Scheme.
    7. Belper & District Road Safety Committee - 158
        A grant of £30 was approved towards the running costs of the Committee.
    8. Winged Fellowship Trust - 165
        Approval was given for a grant of £100 to help support the work of the Trust.
    9. Belper Celebration - 166
        Approval was given for a grant of £500 towards the Belper Carnival and Arts Festival to be held in May 2002 with a further £500 being made available to underwrite the event.
