- Environmental Issues in Belper
A general discussion will be introduced by the Leader.
- Travellers - Showground
To report on the costs of eviction, cleaning up, repairing and securing the Showground.
- Queen's Golden Jubilee Celebrations
To report on the events held during Jubilee Week.
- Belper Leisure Centre
Councillor Ron Buzzard will report on the latest developments.
- Sealing of Documents
Standing order 38 states that:-
- a document shall not be sealed on behalf of the Council unless its sealing has been authorised by a resolution, and
- the Council's common seal shall be used for sealing documents. It shall be applied by the proper officer in the presence of two members who shall sign the document as witnesses
As one of the Trust members the contract for the capital works at the Leisure Centre had to be signed as a matter of great urgency. As only the Mayor (Councillor Randall Sanders) was available, he and the Assistant Town Clerk signed and sealed the appropriate documents. It is necessary to resolve this retrospectively.
- Belper and Milford Townscape Heritage Initiative
To confirm this Council's partnership involvement in the Initiative. Councillor Joyce Sanders will report.
- Council Logo
The Town Clerk will report on the advice received from NALC on the request made by J Nelson Carriers Ltd to use the Council logo on their vehicles.
- Memorial Gardens - Night time security
This item has been requested by Councillor John Nelson.
