A representative of the local Police will be present to report on their recent performance and deal with issues raised by members.
- Citizens Advice Bureau
Ms Heather Clifton-Smith the Manager of the Mid-Derbyshire Citizens Advice Bureau will give a short presentation on the past performance of Belper CAB and plans for the coming year.
- Belper Leisure Centre
Mr Neil Malenoir, the Manager of the Centre will outline the progress made during the course of the last Business Plan that ran from 1999 to 2003 and he will outline the main proposals for the Business Plan for 2003 to 2006.. This item has been scheduled for 7.45pm.
- Public Participation
- To determine which items, if any, should be taken in camera.
- To receive and approve minutes 67 - 95 of the Council meeting held on 9th September (attached).
- Matters arising from the above minutes not included elsewhere on the agenda.
Min 72 Parks Estate Residents Association
It is suggested that this item is delegated to the Finance Working Party.
- To receive and note the minutes of the Christmas Working Party held on 30th September 2003 (to be tabled).
- Mayor's announcements
- Planning Applications.
To consider the Planning Applications herewith. A further schedule will be tabled at the meeting. The Planning Response Co-ordinators will report.
- Justices and Entertainments Licences.
To consider the two applications for the transfer of Justices' Licences set out on the schedule attached and any that may be submitted subsequent to the despatch of this agenda.
- Payments and Receipts.
A schedule of payments and receipts for the period from 7th August to 25th September is attached.
- Quality Councils Scheme
To note letter from the Borough Council (attached).
- Maintenance of Roads in Belper
This item has been included at the request of Councillor Alan Cox.
- Private Street Works
To note the adoption of the streets as highways maintainable at public expense as set out in the County Council's letter attached.
- Young Achievers Awards 2003
Letter from Derbyshire County Council attached.
- Dog Waste Bin
There has been a request for a dog waste bin to be sited at the top of Whitemoor Lane on the left hand side close to the junction with Over Lane.
- Market Towns Initiative
Councillor Mick Nelson will table a brief summary of the meetings held recently to discuss the initiative.
- Outside Bodies
The Council has been invited to send a representative to the Amber Valley Tourism Association annual meeting on Wednesday 12th November at 10am at the Lion Hotel.
The Council has also been invited to send a representative to the AGM of Home-Start Amber Valley. This will be held at the Salvation Army Rooms on Thursday 13th November at 4pm.
