To consider the applications already circulated on the schedules dated 11 June, 24 June and 1 July 2004 and any other applications that may be submitted subsequent to the despatch of this agenda.
- To consider a request to hold a continental market in September. Letter from Amber Valley Borough Council attached.
- To consider a request from Belper Meadows Sports Club to hold car boot sales on 1 August and 3 October 2004.
- Finance: A schedule of payments totalling £25029.32 and receipts totalling £5326.46 for the period from 22 May 2004 to 1 July 2004 is attached.
- Letter of support requested by Belper & District Road Safety Committee in respect of their proposals for changes to the speed limit on the A6, Matlock Road as letter attached. (This matter was brought to March Council but no decision was taken.)
- To agree retrospective use of the Council seal on a document reaffirming the Council's commitment to twinning with Pawtucket dated 2 May 2004.
- To consider the implications of the criteria required for accreditation as a "Quality Town Council". A NALC briefing sheet is attached. Members' attention is drawn to the requirement to produce a Newsletter.
- Provision of public payphones. To consider BT's proposal (attached) to remove the telephone kiosk at the junction of Mill Street and Acorn Drive.
- To consider a request for funding under the Black Spot Lighting Scheme from St Peter's Church as correspondence attached.
- To consider the proposed amendments to the waiting restrictions at Belper Triangle. (Letter from DCC attached)
- To note the extract of the provisional map issued by the Countryside Agency in respect of the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 - attached.
- To consider potential work projects for BCTV - letter attached.
