  13. PLANNING APPLICATIONS
    1. RESOLVED to confirm the Clerk's response to Derbyshire County Council in that Members would not support the proposal for a mini-roundabout at Sandbed Lane/Bargate Road.
    2. RESOLVED to note the Clerk's response to the revised planning application from Morrisons in that it was the design of the trolley shelters that Council particularly objected to although the number of them was also considered excessive.
    3. RESOLVED to note the applications listed on the attached schedules dated 21 April 2005 and 17 May 2005.
    4. RESOLVED to note the applications circulated at the meeting and dated 14 June 2005.
    5. RESOLVED to recommend a Civic Amenity Site at Derby Road, Ambergate to include facilities for recycling.
    6. RESOLVED to support the proposals for a proposed puffin crossing on the A609 at Openwoodgate

    1. It was RESOLVED to agree the accounts for the year ended 31 March 2005.
    2. It was RESOLVED to note and agree the attached schedule of receipts and payments for April 2005 showing expenditure of £21,527.38 and income of £113,488.88 and to authorise the S137 expenditure listed.
    3. It was RESOLVED to authorise the RFO to make payments at the appropriate time of the following annual grants included in the budget:

    1. Derbyshire Coalition for Inclusive Living
        It was RESOLVED that no grant should be paid to the Derbyshire Coalition for Inclusive Living.
    2. Belper Historical Society/North Mill Volunteers
        It was RESOLVED that the Clerk should clarify why the Historical Society are requesting grant funding when they appear to have substantial funds in their building society accounts.

USE OF THE SHOWGROUND A report was given by Councillors John Nelson and Mick Nelson on the informal meeting held with a representative of Tesco concerning their proposed scheme for the area and the lease previously held by the Town Council for the land known as the "Showground" which is now under the ownership of Tesco.
    Discussion took place as to whether the Council would wish to take up the option to renew the lease on the land and it was RESOLVED that the matter should be included on the Agenda for the next meeting.
