PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
- A short period of time will be made available for members of the public to raise any Town Council issues for comment or discussion. (Letter from the Editor of Belper News attached for information)
- Police Matters. A representative of Belper Police will hopefully be in attendance to report on issues affecting Belper.
- Short presentation by Mr Patrick Dawson on the work of Amber Valley Community Transport.

- To note the visit of a party from Pawtucket from 28 October to 1 November 2005.
- To note the Town Council's Trafalgar Celebration Service which will take place at St Peters at 6pm on Sunday 23 October 2005.
- Planning Applications:
- To consider the planning applications circulated on the schedules dated 21 and 29 September 2005 (previously circulated).
- To consider the planning applications on any schedule circulated at the meeting.
- Justices and Entertainments Licences:
- To note any applications on the schedules dated 21 and 29 September 2005 (previously circulated).
- To note any applications on any schedule circulated at the meeting.
- Finance:
- To note and agree income and expenditure for the period August 2005. A schedule is attached showing income of £3,343.17 and expenditure of £5,485.92.
- To consider the case for Broadband. Details are attached showing proposed set up costs of £100 plus a monthly connection charge (Wanadoo) of £14.99 per month for 3 months - and £17.99 per month thereafter.
- To note the resignation of Councillor Mick Nelson from the Finance Working Party and nominate a further Member onto the Committee.
- To agree to place an advertisement for the Town Council in the Belper Celebration Magazine at a cost of £200. Free editorial is given to any message from the Mayor.
- Derbyshire County Council Matters:
- To note and make comment on the Provisional second Derbyshire Local Transport Plan (LTP) for 2006-2011. (Attached)
- To note the County Council's adoption of the following streets:
- Mill View - off Matlock Road (32.10m)
- Accessway off Mill View (12m)
- Soakaway Area off Mill View (6m x 5m)
- To consider a request to make a nomination for the Derbyshire County Council Young Achievers Awards 2005. (Attached)
- To consider Grant Requests as follows:
- Belper River Gardens Society - 228
To consider a request for funding of £250 in respect of the Christmas Event "Santa's arrival in the River Gardens".
- Belper Marlin Swimming Club - 227
To consider the granting of a sponsorship award of £35 in respect of the Club's Open Meet Gala. (Letter attached)
- Larks in the Parks:
To consider the future of the Larks in the Parks series following complaints of noise nuisance. (Copy letters/articles attached for information)
- To receive any feedback from the public concerning a proposed scheme to close King Street for pedestrianisation. (Item included at the request of Councillor John Nelson)

- Training for Councillors:
To consider attendance on the following courses:
- Code of Conduct (DALC) - Tuesday 25 October 2005 - Ripley Town Hall 6pm for 6.30pm (Via the Barrel Vault)
- Chairmanship Skills - Wednesday 16 November 2005 - The Kestrel, Upper Marehay, Ripley - 9am to 4pm (details attached).
