AGENDA FOR THE MEETING OF 8th NOVEMBER 2005

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
  1. A short period of time will be made available for members of the public to raise any Town Council issues for comment or discussion.
  2. Police Matters. A representative of Belper Police will hopefully be in attendance to report on issues affecting Belper.
  3. Short presentation by Mr Roger Carter of Belper Hockey Club in support of the Council grant the Club currently receives.

  8. Planning Applications:
    1. To consider the planning applications circulated on the schedules dated 24 October 2005 (previously circulated).
    2. To consider the planning applications on any schedule circulated at the meeting.
  9. Justices and Entertainments Licences:
    1. To note any applications on the schedules dated 24 October 2005 (previously circulated). None

  10. Finance:
    1. To note and agree income and expenditure for the period September 2005. A schedule is attached showing income of £112,951.64 and expenditure of £34,821.97
    2. To consider proposals for Broadband. Councillor Les Dorey will report.
  11. Derbyshire County Council Matters:
    1. To note the proposed road safety improvement at the A6/Broadholme Lane junction. (Letter attached)
    2. To comment as appropriate on the attached letter and Summary of Statement of Community Involvement in respect of Planning for Minerals and Waste in Derbyshire.
    3. To consider making a nomination in respect of the Greenwatch Awards for 2006. (Letter attached).
  12. To consider Grant Requests as follows:
    1. To agree the recommendation made at October's Council meeting that a grant of £2000 be awarded to Shopmobility in respect of a further six months' provision of the service. (Application form attached).
  13. To receive any reports from Council Representatives on Outside Bodies.

  14. To note the attached Standards Board Bulletin 05.
  15. To agree representation at the Parish/Borough Liaison Committee at 7 pm on 30 November 2005. (Letters from DALC and AVBC attached).
  16. To receive comments on the Environment Agency's proposals in respect of the Derby Flood Risk Management Project. (Letter attached)
  17. To consider advertising expenditure of £100 in respect of the Farmers' Market banner at Belper Town Football Ground. (Letter attached)

  20. To consider a request from Mr Michael McKean in respect of overwintering on the Coppice Car Park from 11 November 2005 to end March 2006.
