AGENDA FOR THE MEETING OF 11th APRIL 2006

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
  1. A short period of time will be made available for members of the public to raise any Town Council issues for comment or discussion.
  2. Police Matters. A representative of Belper Police will be in attendance to report on issues affecting Belper.
  3. Ms Andrea Fox will give a short presentation on the Drop Inn Centre
  4. Mr Colin Sinclair of the Cross Keys will give a short presentation of proposals for celebrations during August Bank Holiday weekend.

  1. Apologies for absence.
  2. Change in order of business.
  3. Declarations of interest.
  4. To determine if any items should be taken with the public excluded. If it is deemed appropriate to exempt the public from any item, the following resolution will be passed:
    "That in accordance with Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, in view of the confidential nature of the business about to be transacted, it is advisable in the public interest that the public and press be excluded from the meeting and they be instructed to withdraw."
  5. To receive and approve Minutes 480-500 of the Council Meeting held on 14 March 2006.
  6. To note the Minutes 130-140 of a Meeting of the Christmas Committee held 16 March 2006.
  7. Mayor's announcements.
  8. Finance:
    To note and agree income and expenditure for the period February 2006. A schedule is attached showing income of £2,821.57 and expenditure of £22,702.49.
    To note and agree income and expenditure for the period March (1-24) 2006. A schedule is attached showing income of £819.46 and expenditure of £6,500.15.
  9. Planning Applications:
    To consider the planning applications on any schedule circulated prior to the meeting.
  10. To receive reports from Council Representatives on Outside Bodies.
  11. To consider the Council's position relevant to the Licensing Regulations
  12. To note the letter from Amber Valley Borough Council regarding the Coppice car park
  13. To note the letter from Amber Valley Borough Council regarding installation of fencing at the Memorial Gardens
  14. To report on the appointment of Temporary General Assistant
  15. To note the letter from the Highways Agency regarding widening the M1 between junctions 21 & 30
  16. To note the Memo from English Heritage regarding St John's Chapel. To appoint a Sub Committee to consider the recommendations
  17. Memorial Gardens - Councillor John Nelson to report
  18. To discuss the quotes for a wheelchair ramp from:
