PARISH OF BELPER
32nd ANNUAL ASSEMBLY OF PARISH MEETING
will be held in the Council Offices, St John's Chapel, The Butts, Belper on Tuesday, 9 May 2006 at 7.00 pm
The business to be transacted is set out in the Agenda below.
The meeting will commence with prayers.

AGENDA

  1. To appoint a Clerk for the meeting.
  2. To confirm the Minutes of the 31st Annual Assembly of Parish Meeting held 10 May 2005.
  3. To receive the Annual Report detailing the work of the Town Council for the Municipal Year 2005/2006.
  4. Budget and Council Tax Precept for 2006/7. A copy of the budget is attached which shows the precept of £222,000.
  5. Presentation of The Maurice Heely Award.
  6. Presentation of The Town Service Awards
  7. To consider any other Parish matter which may be brought forward for consideration by the Town Council or local government elector(s).
NB The public are entitled to be present at the meeting but such persons only as are local government electors for the Parish may be allowed to speak.

ANNUAL MEETING OF BELPER TOWN COUNCIL
(after the Annual Parish Meeting which takes place at 7 pm).

A) PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
A short period of time will be made available for members of the public to raise any issues with Members of the Town Council.
B) POLICE
A representative of the local police will be present to discuss any law and order issues.

  7. To approve the Mayor's Allowance for 2006/2007.
