- To determine if any items should be taken with the public excluded. If it is deemed appropriate to exempt the public from any item, the following resolution will be passed:
In accordance with Section 1(2) of the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960, in view of the confidential nature of the business to be transacted, it is RESOLVED that, in the public interest, the public and press be excluded from the meeting during discussion of the item and they be instructed to withdraw.

- Mayor's announcements.
- Finance:
- To note and agree income and expenditure for the period 1 December to 28 December 2006. A schedule is attached showing net income of £927.44 and net expenditure of £15,187.53.
- To consider and agree the Budget for the year to 31 March 2008. (Proposed budget attached).
- To agree completion of Precept request from Amber Valley Borough Council. (Attached)
- To agree proposed schedule of charges with effect from 1 April 2007. (Attached)
- Planning Applications:
- To consider the planning applications on the schedule dated 20 December 2006
- To consider the planning applications on any schedule circulated at the meeting.
- To receive a report on the Public Meeting held 5 January 2007 in St John's Chapel regarding Amber Valley Borough Council's proposals to sell land which includes Wyver Lane Nature Reserve. AVBC News Release attached.
- To consider a contribution of £1500 per annum for a possible three year period to a new partnership scheme which will replace the HERS scheme. (Correspondence from Amber Valley Borough Council attached).
- To consider a quote for removing trees in the Memorial Gardens (as attached).
- To note the proposals for Summer 2007 events in the River Gardens. Programme from Friends of Belper River Gardens attached.
- Outside Bodies
- To receive reports from Council Representatives on Outside Bodies.
- To note the formation of Belper Civic Forum. Letter and Minutes of Steering Group Meeting held 30 November 2006 attached for information.
- To nominate a representative of the Council to attend the next Police Consultative Meeting. (Correspondence attached)
- To agree the attached Local Election Compact for signing by all Parish candidates in the 2007 elections.
- To note receipt of Derbyshire County Council's draft Rights of Way Improvement Plan. (Available from the Clerk). Comments are invited. (Letter from DCC attached)
- Derwent Valley Mills Partnership - Draft Management Plan following quinquennial review. (Available from the Clerk). Comments invited. (Letter attached)
