AGENDA FOR THE MEETING OF 10th APRIL 2007
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
- A short period of time will be made available for members of the public to raise any Town Council issues for comment or discussion.
- Police Matters. A representative of Belper Police will be in attendance to report on issues affecting Belper.

- Declarations of interest.
- To determine if any items should be taken with the public excluded. If it is deemed appropriate to exempt the public from any item, the following resolution will be passed:
In accordance with Section 1(2) of the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960, in view of the confidential nature of the business to be transacted, it is RESOLVED that, in the public interest, the public and press be excluded from the meeting during discussion of the item and they be instructed to withdraw.
- To receive and approve Minutes 792-813 of the Council Meeting held on 13 March.
- To note the Minutes of a Meeting of the Food Committee held 3 April 2007.

- Finance:
- To note and agree income and expenditure for the period 1-30 March 2007. Schedules are attached showing gross income of £2,919.07 and gross expenditure of £21,949.85.
- To note the bank reconciliation for current/public reserve accounts as at 30 March 2007 (attached).
- Planning Applications:
- To consider the planning applications on the schedule dated 15 March 2007
- To consider the planning applications on any schedule circulated at the meeting.
- To receive reports from Members who have attended meetings on Outside Bodies as representatives of the Town Council:

- To note the attached valuation brief re potential sites for development.
- To note the attached response from Derbyshire County Council re the Town Council's request to relocate the new Library
- Grant Funding applications:
- Musica Donum Dei (No. 247) - £300 sought in respect of anticipated shortfall in respect of proposed concert. (Details attached) Grant of £300 awarded in October 2006.
- Childline East Midlands (No. 248) - Donation sought for unspecified amount. (Letter attached)
- To note the attached Report and Financial Statements for the year ended 31.3.06 from Fleet Arts in respect of the grant application approved at the March meeting.
- Derwent Valley Mills Partnership (No. 249). To consider the attached request for £500.
- To discuss the insurance implications of "Mr Potato Head". The Clerk will report.
- To consider a request from Derbyshire Advocacy Service for a letter of support. (Letter attached)
- To note the attached document detailing the response from Postwatch to the Government's proposals re the closure of post offices.
- Items for Information: To note and discuss as required the items of correspondence detailed on the attached schedule.
- Application for support from the Whitemoor Day Centre re The Changing Places Campaign. Details attached. (Item deferred at March meeting).
- To review the Council's role and responsibilities in respect of the management and maintenance of Beaurepaire Garden.
