PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
- A short period of time will be made available for members of the public to raise any Town Council issues for comment or discussion.
- Mr Les Dorey representing Friends of Belper River Gardens wishes to address the Council re the funding of next year’s Larks in the Parks series.
- Police Matters. A representative of Belper Police will be in attendance to report on issues affecting Belper.

- To note the Minutes of Meetings of the Food Committee held a) 19 July 2007 (attached) and b) 6 September 2007 (to be tabled).
- To note the Minutes of a Meeting of the Finance Working Party held 24 August 2007 and consider the recommendations contained therein.

- Finance:
- To note and agree income and expenditure for the period 1 June to 31 August 2007 as new schedules to be tabled.
- To note the bank reconciliation for current/public reserve accounts as at 30 June, 31 July and 31 August 2007 (to be tabled).
- Planning Applications:
- To consider the planning applications on the schedules dated 19 July, 3 August, 10 August and, in the new format, schedules for 11-17 August, 17-23 August 2007 (previously circulated) and 23-31 August 2007 (herewith).
- To consider the planning applications on any schedule circulated at the meeting.
- To receive verbal reports from Council Representatives on Outside Bodies.
- Grant requests:
- To consider a request from Derbyshire Coalition for Inclusive Living for a £100 donation (correspondence attached).
- To consider the attached request from The Drop Inn Management Team for a grant of unspecified amount towards core running costs.
- To consider the attached request from Belper Marlin Swimming Club for £40 in respect of sponsorship of two events at the Open Meet Gala on 28 October 2007.
- To consider a request for a donation (unspecified amount) to Victim Support Derbyshire as attached letter.
- To consider the attached request for financial support of Belper Community Football Programme (unspecified amount).

- To consider Links from the Town Council’s Web Site. (Councillor Alan Cox will make a verbal report).
- To consider the attached request for repeat advertising of the Farmers’ Market by a perimeter board at Belper Town Football Club for the 2007/2008 season at a cost of £120.00.
- To consider proposals for the piece of land known as the Milford Triangle. The attached e-mail from the Milford & Makeney Community Group Committee refers.
- To discuss proposals put forward by Alan Benfield Ltd to restore the weir lights at the River Gardens. Attached letter refers.
- To consider a request from Friends of Belper Parks concerning their proposals to hold a Mediaeval Fair in the Parks on Saturday 13 October 2007.
- To discuss the attached request from Ms Jenny Neale for 10 mph speeding restriction signs on Wyver Lane.
- Environmental Issues. This item has been included at the request of Councillor John Nelson.
- Coppice Car Park:
- To discuss the parking provision in the town and the increasing use of the Coppice Car Park.
- To consider a request from the McKean family to overwinter for 16-20 weeks from around 12 November 2007.
- To consider the state of the channel down from the Butts following complaints about the uneven surface. (The Clerk will report)
- To consider a request from Mr Terry Mellor to commence the annual “Limestone Run” from the Coppice Car Park on Sunday 7 October. This involves around 50 vintage lorries leaving the car park between 7.30 am and 8.30 am to take a 100 mile tour of the Derbyshire hills.
- To note the new Commanding Officer of HMS Brocklesby as attached correspondence.
