AGENDA FOR THE MEETING OF 9th OCTOBER 2007
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
- A short period of time will be made available for members of the public to raise any Town Council issues for comment or discussion.
- Police Matters: A representative of Belper Police will be in attendance to report on issues affecting Belper.
- Presentation by Friends of Belper Parks to update the Council on their activities.

PART 1 – NON EXEMPT (NON CONFIDENTIAL) INFORMATION

- Change in order of business.
- Declarations of interest.
- To determine if any items should be taken with the public excluded. If it is deemed appropriate to exempt the public from any item, the following resolution will be passed:
In accordance with Section 1(2) of the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960, in view of the confidential nature of the business to be transacted, it is RESOLVED that, in the public interest, the public and press be excluded from the meeting during discussion of the item and they be instructed to withdraw.
- To receive and approve Minutes 894-911 of the Council Meeting held on 11 September 2007. (Attached)
- Mayor’s announcements.
- Finance:
- To note and agree income and expenditure for the period 1 to 30 September 2007.
- To note the bank reconciliation for current/public reserve accounts as at 30 September 2007 (to be tabled).
- To note receipt of the External Auditor’s report on the Annual Report for the year ending 31 March 2007. (Attached)
- Planning Applications:
- To consider the planning applications on the schedules previously circulated, dated 31 August-6 September, 6-17 September; and 17-23 September (attached).
- To consider the planning applications on any schedule circulated at the meeting.
- To receive verbal reports from Council Representatives on Outside Bodies.
- To note receipt of a DVD “The Code of Conduct Uncovered” (a training aid for Parish and Town Councils).
- To note the attached report from Trent Barton detailing problem “hot spots” in the area. (Report attached)
- To note and discuss the attached Judges’ Report concerning the results of the Town’s entry in the East Midlands in Bloom Competition.
- Environmental Issue:
- To discuss pavement maintenance.
- Car parking issues. To consider any response from the County Council.
- To discuss arrangements for the visit to HMS Brocklesby.
- To agree disposal of old Council PC and equipment.
- Items for Information: To note and discuss as required the items of correspondence detailed on the schedule attached. All correspondence is available for inspection from the Clerk.
