- Declarations of interest.
- To determine if any items should be taken with the public excluded. If it is deemed appropriate to exempt the public from any item, the following resolution will be passed:
In accordance with Section 1(2) of the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960, in view of the confidential nature of the business to be transacted, it is RESOLVED that, in the public interest, the public and press be excluded from the meeting during discussion of the item and they be instructed to withdraw.
- Public Participation:
- A short period of time will be made available for members of the public to raise any Town Council issues for comment or discussion.
- Presentation by Liz Partington of Derbyshire County Council concerning the Community Response Plan for Civil Emergencies.
- Presentation by Emma Hagger of Mid-Derbyshire Citizens Advice Bureau.
- Police Matters: A representative of Belper Police will be in attendance to report on issues affecting Belper.
- County Councillor’s Briefing.
- To receive and approve Minutes 958-978 of the Council Meeting held on 11 December 2007. (Attached)
- To note the attached Minutes of a Meeting of the Finance Working Party held Wednesday 19 December 2007 and approve the recommendations contained therein. (To be tabled)
- Mayor’s announcements.
- Finance:
- To note and agree income and expenditure for the period 30 November 2007 to 15 December 2007. (Schedules attached showing Income of £930.00 and Expenditure of £19866.68).
- To note the bank reconciliation for current/public reserve accounts. (To be tabled)
- To consider the attached budget as recommended by the Finance Working Party and agree the Parish Precept for 2008-2009.
- Planning Applications:
- To consider the planning applications on the schedules dated 3 December 2007 to 17 December 2007 and 18 December 2007 to 3 January 2008 (attached).
- To consider the planning applications on any schedule circulated prior to or at the meeting.
- Grant Applications:
263 - To consider the attached application from Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre. (Accounts to be tabled)
- Outside Bodies.
To receive verbal reports from Council Representatives on outside bodies
- To consider sponsorship of the Borough Council’s Poop Scoop Bags as letter attached.
- To consider a proposal for a Continental Village Market in 2008. The Clerk will report.
- Items for Information: To note and discuss as required the items of correspondence detailed on the schedule attached. All correspondence is available for inspection from the Clerk.
