- Derbyshire County Council matters:
- To note and comment if required on the Stopping Up of the Highways Order in respect of a ten metre length of highway at 1 High Street.
- To consider and comment as appropriate on the consultation document - South East Derbyshire Accessibility Strategy.
- Car Parking:
- To note the progress with the lease on the Thornton's Car Park on Derwent Street and agree to erect a height restriction barrier at an approximate cost of £800.
- To note and consider the proposal from Mr Robert Toplis re car parking provision at the Deb site.
- The Clerk will report on correspondence re the no parking restriction on the Market Place.
- To note that applications are being sought for grant aid under Round Two of Derbyshire County Council's Progressive Towns Grant Fund.
- To consider a response to BT in respect of proposed removal of telephone kiosks in Belper as per the list.
- To consider the arts project submitted by Mr Ivan Smith re a Sandarbh UK International Artist Residency in Belper in September 2008. Councillor John Nelson to lead discussion.
- To consider a request from Mr Lee Andrews re additional car boot sales at Belper Leisure Centre on 14 September and 14 December 2008. In addition, he requests approval for date changes for those already agreed in October and November to 12 and 9 respectively.
- To consider the correspondence from Councillor Les Dorey re a proposed lighting scheme for the Whitemoor Recreation Ground.
- Ethical Training Compact: To consider the correspondence seeking Council's involvement in a Training Compact with local Standards Committees.

EXEMPT INFORMATION
- To note the payment of annual increments to the following staff w.e.f. 1 April 2008 in accordance with salary grades and scales: Rosemary Bridges, Glyn Haynes, Rose Kinder and Albert Smith.
- Register of Interests. Members to note their current declarations and advise the Clerk of any updates required.
- To note the correspondence re the draft Memorandum and Articles of Belper Leisure Centre Trust and the proposed transfer of undertaking and assets.
- Memorial Gardens: To consider expenditure of approximately £3000 in respect of resurfacing the footpaths. The Clerk will report.
- To consider a request for space in the Coppice Car Park in respect of the siting of three waste bins. Councillor John Nelson will report.
- Whitemoor Medical Centre: To consider a verbal request from Derbyshire County Council that the Town Council maintain (only) two new bus shelters which will service the Medical Centre. The Clerk will report.
