AGENDA FOR THE MEETING OF 10th FEBRUARY 2009

4. To determine if any items should be taken with the public excluded. If it is deemed appropriate to exempt the public from any item, the following resolution will be passed:
   In accordance with Section 1(2) of the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960, in view of the confidential nature of the business to be transacted, it is RESOLVED that, in the public interest, the public and press be excluded from the meeting during discussion of the item and they be instructed to withdraw.
5. Public Participation:
   A short period of time will be made available for members of the public to raise any Town Council issues for comment or discussion.
6. Presentation on the County Council's Civil Parking Enforcement Policies by County Council Civil Parking Enforcement Manager James Adams.
7. Police Matters: A representative of Belper Police will be in attendance to report on issues affecting Belper.
8. County Councillors' Briefing to include a review on drain and gully cleaning.
9. To receive and approve Minutes 1246-1267 of the Council Meeting held on 13 January 2009. (Attached)
10. Mayor's announcements.
11. Finance:
    1. To note and agree income and expenditure incurred in the month covering transactions 2572 -2681. Schedules attached showing Income of £3,574.24 and Expenditure of £18,308.14.
    2. To note the bank reconciliation for current/public reserve accounts as at 31 December 2008. (Attached)
    3. To consider the insurance renewal quotations (Attached)
    4. To note the balance of the Belper Town Council Grant Funding allowance. (Attached)

13. Outside Bodies.
    To receive verbal reports from Council Representatives on outside bodies.
14. To consider entering the Calor Derbyshire Village of the Year 2009. (Attached)

    2. To note the Borough Council's response to the Clerk's letter regarding the footpath between Tesco Express and Whitemoor recreation area.
    3. To note the County Council acknowledgement of receipt of Clerk's letter regarding the footpath between Tesco Express and Whitemoor recreation area.
    4. To note Amber Valley Borough Council (off-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement and Consolidation) Order 2009 was made on 20 January 2009 and will come into operation on 19 February 2009.
    5. To note Amber Valley Housing's response to the Clerk's request to allow car parking on the land at Mill Lane until planning permission has been granted.
    6. To note the response from the Diocese of Derby regarding the Clerk's request for details of why civil weddings are not allowed to be held in St. John's Chapel.
    7. To note the letter of thanks from Belper Town Wind Band.
