36th ANNUAL ASSEMBLY OF PARISH MEETING
will be held in the Council Offices, St John's Chapel, The Butts, Belper on Tuesday, 11 May 2010 at 7.00 pm

The meeting will commence with prayers.
AGENDA
- To appoint a Clerk for the meeting.
- To receive and approve the Minutes of the 35th Annual Assembly of Parish Meeting held 12 May 2009.
- To receive the Annual Report detailing the work of the Town Council for the Municipal Year 2009/2010.
- Budget and Council Tax Precept for 2010/11. A copy of the budget is attached which shows the precept of £241,500.
- Presentation of The Maurice Heely Award.
- To consider any other Parish matter which may be brought forward for consideration by the Town Council or local government elector(s).
ANNUAL MEETING OF BELPER TOWN COUNCIL
(after the Annual Parish Meeting which takes place at 7 pm.)

- Public Participation:
A short period of time will be made available for members of the public to raise any issues with Members of the Town Council. - Police:
A representative of the local police will be present to discuss any law and order issues that are raised at the meeting. - To confirm the Minutes of the Annual Meeting held 12 May 2009 as approved by Council on 9 June 2009.
- To approve the Mayor's Allowance for 2010/2011 (Budget £2,477).
- Appointment of Members to Council Committees 2010/2011.

The Schedule of present Representatives on Outside Bodies is attached for information. - Dates of Council and Committee Meetings in 2010/2011.
A Proposed Schedule of Meetings is attached for consideration. - To consider amendments to the Clerks delegated powers for expenditure.
- Clerk to report on the urgent repairs required on the posts on Chapel Street.
