PART I - NON CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION
- To receive apologies for absence.
- Declaration of Members Interests.
Please Note:-
- Members must ensure that they complete the Declarations of Interest sheet prior to the start of the meeting and must indicate the action to be taken (i.e. to stay in the meeting, to leave the meeting or to stay in the meeting to make representations and then leave the meeting prior to any consideration or determination of the item)
- Where a Member indicates that they have a prejudicial interest, but wish to make representations regarding the item before leaving the meeting, those representations must be made under item (c) of Public Speaking.
- The Declarations of Interests will be read out from the Declaration Sheet - Members will be asked to confirm that the record is correct.
- Public Speaking
- A short period of time will be made available for members of the public and Members of the Council to comment on any matter. Where a Member indicates they have a prejudicial interest, but wish to make representations regarding the item before leaving the meeting, those representations must be made under item (c) below. (If the item to which representations or comment were made by a Member is on the Agenda the Member must declare that interest again and withdraw from the meeting during consideration of that item)
- If the Police Liaison Officer, a County Council or District Council Member is in attendance they will be given the opportunity to raise any relevant matter.
- Members declaring a prejudicial interest who wish to make representations or give evidence under the Code of Conduct relating to Agenda items shall do so at this stage.
- Order of business.
- To determine if any items should be taken with the public excluded. If it is deemed appropriate to exempt the public from any item, the following resolution will be passed:
In accordance with Section 1(2) of the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960, in view of the confidential nature of the business to be transacted, it is RESOLVED that, in the public interest, the public and press be excluded from the meeting during discussion of the item and they be instructed to withdraw.
- To receive and approve Minutes 1734 - 1768 of the Council Meeting held on 14 September 2010.
- To note the Minutes 202 - 211 of the Food Festival Meeting held17 September 2010.
- Mayor's announcements.
- Finance:
- To note and agree income and expenditure incurred in the months of July and August covering transactions 5220 - 5338. Schedules attached showing income of £515.07 and Expenditure of £26,091.89.
- To note the bank reconciliation for current/public reserve accounts as at 31 August 2010.
- Planning Applications:
- To consider planning applications on the schedules dated 7 September 2010 - 20 September 2010 (already circulated) and schedule dated 20 September 2010 - 27 September
- To note the planning application decisions 8 September 2010 - 27 September 2010.
- To consider the planning applications on any schedule circulated at the meeting.
- Outside Bodies
To receive verbal reports from Council Representatives on outside bodies.
- To note Belper received a Gold Award in the East Midlands in Bloom competition and the presentation of the Special Judges Awards.
- To consider the suggestion from the EIMB judge to provide an Interpretation Board for the wildflower meadow at Belper Parks.
- To consider nominations for the Annual Countryside Alliance Awards.
- To consider the request for funding towards Belper Marlin Swimming Club. 'Open Meet Gala'
- To consider nominations for the Derbyshire County Council Young Achievers Awards 2010.
- To fill the two vacancies on the Belper Food Committee.
- To approve the layout of style of the Belper Town Sign.
- To consider Amber Sound radio station's attendance and involvement at the Christmas Festival.
- To approve the Christmas Committee's recommendation to install 6 additional double sockets in the Memorial Gardens.
- Items for Information: To note and discuss as required the items of correspondence detailed on the schedule attached.
