  11th Belper and District Neighbourhood Watch
Meet at the Cottage Project, Chapel Street from 12.30 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. on the 2nd Thursday of every month. There is free advice to all and free security items to pensioners and disabled members of the community. A nominal charge is made to other residents for these items. There is a cup of tea or coffee for all visitors.

  13th Belper Central Methodist Church Heritage Open Day
There will be a small exhibition of the church's 200 year history. We will have a hymn-athon and as it is also the 'Churches and Chapel Preservation Trust Bike Ride or Walk' we will be open for them to visit too. 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.

Autumn Footprints Walking Festival 2008, a moderate 2.5 mile circular 3 hour walk, pausing at each poetry installation for discussion and a brief reading of the poem. Starts 11.00am at the band stand, Belper River Gardens.
